Once there was a story, or was it a series of unfortunate events?

We dip our toes in places best left unexplored and whisper secrets to the wind. Eyes of the past watch, but do they judge? They might, but only if they remembered how to judge and what to judge with, and therein lies the riddle.

Chapter 2.5:

She stared at the reflection in the mirror, which promptly stared back with a receipt from a department store.
"Life is but a series of accidental Wednesdays," she mused, as the cat insisted upon its right to strut across the keyboard of reality.

And here we browse the secondhand shop of eternity, seeking stories with only half the chapters written. Behold, life, in all its absurdity.

Chapter 3.7:

Our hero had forgotten where the plot was leading, probably because it went for coffee during intermission.
"Thus, on the third Thursday of October, they decided to finally declutter their thoughts," narrated the unseen narrator who had apparently misclicked on tab 43 of the cosmic browser.
