Whispering Sands

Forgotten Sonnets

Upon the sands where shadows creep,
The moonlit verses, long asleep,
Whisper secrets to the star-dusted air,
Echoes from realms, obscured and rare.

Once written by hands, ethereal and frail,
Inked by the dreams of a cosmic wail,
These lines now tread on breaths of fire,
Decorations of a lost choir.

Roses in attic forgotten, so red,
Unfold in whispers, and softly shed,
Petals like truths, refracted, real,
Caught in the twilight's trembling wheel.

So linger, sweet has-been of grace,
In the starlit dust of your floating place;
Amid the constellations wide and grand,
Find solace in this whispering sand.
