Renegade Dreams

Once upon always, when whispers of yesterday's fog hid behind the crumpled edges of memory, dreams departed:

Mechanical crows crow about marble wolves, furtive in soul over concrete meadows.
Awoke in logarithms and binary, she wandered: the rivers of data pooling overhead like stardust pilgrims.

They soaked their myths in plasma, waves that receded so as not to wash away chalk outlines of thoughts unthought.
Eucharist coffee, divine caffeine ascending once more, unto its smoky throne.
