Ear Candy

Once upon a dew, the clouds whispered secrets
to the yellow dandelions bouncing on the breeze.
"Tell me a truth," asked an oblivious caterpillar,
whose voice was tiny like a pin drop in the ocean.

"Truths are like rainbows," said the wind,
"you chase them but they stand in your imagination".
The rainbow giggled, refracting bits of laughter,
dispersing light in a noodle dance.

Scribbles in the sand told stories of forgotten emojis,
of hearts that leap and shout "Cupcake!"
down a never-ending slide of sprinkles and stars.
Hear the truth or just a whisper's wet shoes, tipping over puddles.
