Incongruity

Once, the stars sang
a lullaby to shadows,
over cornfields dense
with unspoken wishes.
In the lighthouse hum,
ocean's convoluted tales
drift through cracked
panes of antiquity.
*yet remember*
*little echo*
*through windveil*
*forgotten sigh*
*untold song*
Train whistles echo
past the hollow towns,
where children played
with marbles of glass.
Fables entwined with
the laughter of ghosts,
a ballet of memories
lost in incongruity.
