Narrated by the Silence Between Stars
Once, in a corner of nothingness, I overheard the stars when they were trying to measure distance. "A mere stretch between me and you," whispered one, "and yet I can never reach you," sighed another. Distance here, narrated by the silence that wasn't quite silent, seemed like an ironic jest played by the universe.
The stars, ever so witty, defined distance as "the inconvenient gap", much like how you might define a gap in knowledge as an absence of answers, or a gap in friendship as the unreturned messages.
