Fables of the Night Spire

Once upon when everybody was sleeping, the spire listened to the stars. Did they not hum songs, songs so sweet that only the brave dared to sing them here on Earth?

"Tell us everybody's dreams," the spire whispered, soft as a kitten's purr. And the stars blinked brightly, their glimmers like little giggles.

"We remember your unseen friends," they sang in their twinkling voices, "the shadows of your hallway who play hide and seek, and the moonbeams that tickle your toes."

And so, the spire sat tall and wise, gathering all the dreams the stars shared that night, stories of mouses who rode owls and cats sailing on clouds filled with silly rain.
