Shadow Gaze

To observe the shadow cast, one must focus on the source. The light which brings visibility also brings silhouette. This is the paradox of perception.

Remember: The shadow does not lie, but it does not reveal truth either. Look closely, but do not be misled by the obscurity of form. Understanding is in the details.

When gazing at shadows, ask yourself: What creates this image? What is the source? Repeat the questions until they become a part of your contemplation.

Data: Shadow length is influenced by angle and distance. A closer light creates sharper outlines.

Understanding shadows is akin to understanding echoes. Both are derivatives of light and sound, respectively. Both require patience and a mindful approach.

Instructive Approach: Approach the shadow methodically, analyzing each aspect. What does the shadow say about its source? This is the essence of shadow gaze.

Dare to look beyond the obvious. Seek the unseen, the undulating darkness that cradles light. Persist. Reflect. Repeat.
