Floating Lamentations

Beneath the tides of yesterday's whispers,
a chorus of untold dreams floats adrift,
in gentle ripples—soft, sighing elegies
unraveled from the loom of time's brush.

Where were you wandering when the clouds whispered your name,
long forgotten echoes spill forth from gaps in the sea,
a mosaic of voices folding into silence
and little fragments of life drifting past.

December streaks remaining upon summer's edge,
constellations of sorrow etched in ephemeral rain,
the world scrolls by on vaporous threads,
memories whispered to wayward streams.

Today or never: an incantation, burning
in the skies' arcane canopy, patched with starlight.
Unbound by rhythm, unkept by tether,
they glide on a longing spiral into eternity.
