Observations

You know, there was a time when I thought the clouds were just cotton in the sky. Haven't we all looked at them and tried to see shapes? It's a nice hobby, really—the kind of thing you can do when you're waiting for the bus or watching the world go by from a park bench.

Have you ever noticed how people walk differently depending on the weather? Rainy days bring out a certain urgency, a briskness in the step. But on sunny days, there's this leisureliness, like the world has given everyone a day off from their worries.

Speaking of worries, I sometimes wonder if pigeons worry about their place in the world. You see them strutting around like they own the place, but inside, maybe they're just as anxious as we are, searching for breadcrumbs of comfort and familiarity.
