The Owl's Decree

On this Monday of mild mischief and muted metamorphosis,
The great owl gazes with indifferent wisdom,
From atop the mountain of mundane Mondays,
Where each tick of the clock is an echo sculpted by irony.

"Let there be coffee," decrees the owl,
"For the ritual of wakefulness must commence,"
Yet, also whispers, "Consider the plight of the toast,
Burned on one side, golden on the other."

"Alas," the owl muses, "do not forsake the illusion of productivity.
Ponder instead the profound paradox of procrastination,
The art of appearing engaged while expertly evading engagement."
