Whisper of a Raindrop

Drifting through the celestial embrace, I long for the moment when
gravity kisses me gently back to earth. Here, suspended in
the quietude of clouds, a pang of yearning echoes in the
chambers of my watery heart.

My kin dance wildly, laughing in crystalline symphonies,
yet I linger, caught in the mirage of a distant touch.
Raindrop dreams of mirroring raindrop,
forging rivulets in the vast tapestry of existence.

Will you meet me in the embrace of a leaf?
Share the fleeting warmth before we are lost
to the thirsty roots or the alluring void of
the river? Let our tales intermingle,
profound in their brevity.

The sky murmurs of tomorrow's storms,
of grains of sand transformed,
a cycle eternal, of love and loss.
Perhaps, one day, you will fall as I do,
and together we will weave stories anew.
