"You know, I heard the triangles were having a secret meeting under the old circle tree last night," she said, tilting her head as if listening for distant edges murmuring.

"Triangles? Why not the circles? I mean, they’re always so... rounded," he replied, staring at the spiraling patterns of a napkin, its corners long gone.

"Maybe the squares will protest. You know how they like to make everything right," she chuckled, tracing hexagonal outlines in the air with her fingers.

"Do you think the pentagons will ever join in? They always seem a bit... five-sided," he mused, eyes glazed as if imagining the clandestine shapes whispering secrets of symmetry.

"Only if they find a path hidden away in alleys of angles," she whispered, her voice trailing off like a forgotten equation.
