Shifted shades shelter shadows here,
Crestfallen minutes slip beneath velvet skies.
Careful are these unseen clocks,
Their echoes wink through silent walls, audibly inaudible.
From nowhere yonder or perhaps within,
They weave unseen tapestries of entrapped time and space.
Beware the arches woven not as bridges but as whispers;
Lurking clarity preys on those who dare tread the edge of insipid streams
Where the twilight holds prisoners in shadow's way.
Silent screams resonate, dormant
In the crooks of winding twilight paths.
Ever thine, yet nevermore,
In these corridors where minutes inhale fears
They forget what they cannot disobey.
