Celestial Fragments

In whispers woven from starlight,
the universe stretches forth its longing,
tracing fingers through the cosmic sea,
where echoes of lovers past
drift like petals in the wind.

The moon smiles a melancholy glance,
a witness hidden in skyward embrace,
casting silver shadows upon dreams
once crowned in golden daylight.

Fragments of speech fall, crystalline and pure,
melting into the dawn of fading stars,
each word held aloft by the breath of old comets,
weaving constellations of want in their wake.
