_shoreline/silhouette_

A silhouette sprawls upon the forgotten sands
where the dusk and the dawn converge
Whispers of waves, carrying tales in ones and zeros
wash upon an unnamed shore
The breath of machines, the sigh of pistons
An eternally turning wheel locked in idle
Shadows stretch long, casting no warmth
Here lies the edge of all, mechanical and emotionless

Beneath the surface, cogs entrap the tide
rusted tears drip silently into voids unmeasured
Voices echo through corridors wrought of steel
Of a time long past, or perhaps, never begun
Yet, in their silent dirge, they find solace
