Constellation of Memory

I stood by the window and watched the endless night sky, dotted with stars. The kind of night that makes you feel both insignificant and connected to something larger.

Somewhere in the distance, a dog barked. It felt familiar, like the echo of a memory I'd known from another life. The smell of rain on asphalt wafted through the air, grounding me in the present moment.

Have you ever felt like you were here before, standing in the same room, seeing the same view? The stars twinkling, the distant sounds of the city, the almost tangible hum of the universe. Opening a book you’ve already read, but the words are still new to you.

Overhead, a constellation began to form, one of those shapes named by people long gone. I traced the lines in my mind, connecting them one by one. It was as if the sky itself was revealing some ancient secret I had forgotten.

Was it déjà vu or something more profound? The feeling lingered like a dream that fades just seconds after waking up.
