The Fading Symphony...

Out here, between the cosmic couch cushions of infinity, music has begun to fade. It's what the universe gets when it tunes in too late to its own party. "You know," whispers a rather bored silence, "stars can't hold a note to save their twinkle."

Constellations look on like an audience that has long since lost patience. "The Orion Band," I say, "famous for their stellar solos and intergalactic jazz hands."

"Don't you remember the Andromeda Duet?" whispers another calm void, "Now that was harmony. Two galaxies in sync. Not a key out of place."

"Oh, speak of the cosmic devil..." as silence serenades, a rogue note from an alien sax cuts through, giving the dark its final dance.
