The Sky Is Down

"Why is the moon eating pancakes?"
asked the little star to the purple sun.

"Because clouds don't have spoons,"
giggle chuckled Daisie the flower, drowsing in dream-dew.

"Did you see my socks dance in the wind up here?"
wondered Jellyfish Jack, wearing a pirate hat of gold.

"The fish told me to wait here,"
sighed the apple tree stump with dancing leaves.

"Is it time for the stars to sleep?"
yawned a frog dressed in a rainbow tie.
