Portal Jumper

In the twilight's grasp, I leap through portals of slumber and whispering winds. The echoes of yesterday never fade — they linger like shadows cast by a moon that is no longer there.

Once, I discovered a fleeting glimpse of a carnival. Its colors were stained by the wistfulness of age, and the laughter seemed like a long-lost song of spring. The clowns never smiled but their painted faces brought warmth to the cold night.

Do you remember the scent of vanilla wafting from a place you could never find again? It was mingled with the distant sound of a carousel spinning beneath a sky painted in twilight blue.

The portals call to me like sirens in the dark. I jump, yearning for the past, for the future, for something in between. Their whispers tell of lands forgotten and dreams unfulfilled.

And in the corridors of time, I trace the paths where you once walked. Your laughter echoes faintly, a ghost of something that might have been. Together we wander, though one of us is only a memory.

As I stand at the precipice of worlds, I wonder if I will find you again, or if this is simply another night beneath the starry abyss.
