Echoes in Caves

The cave breathes its silent whispers
Through hollowed corridors of unseen paths,
Here, I find remnants of voices,
Speaking secrets into the shadows.

Once I heard laughter,
A symphony of childhood dreams,
Skipping stones across placid memories,
Each ricochet a heartbeat of joy.

In another cleft, a softer echo,
A murmur of shared confidences,
Beneath the skeletal light of stars,
Trust woven like ancient roots.
Step forward

The murmurs fade into a distant place,
But the presence of those voices lingers,
Awakened by the cool touch of cave air,
Dancing around the contours of my mind.

I realize,
I am never alone in these stone giants,
For every echo is a companion,
A guardian of forgotten stories,
Waiting for someone to listen anew.

Futures unwritten beckon,
Beyond edges of known whispers,
Where new echoes await their chance,
To etch themselves into my wandering soul.
