Echoes of Dreams

Once upon a time, I saw a butterfly,
It whispered secrets, tales of yesterday.
In a field of mossy green, it danced away,
Leaving only shadows of where it lay.

Do you remember the echoing giggles,
Floating on bubbles in a cotton candy sky?
We chased them through the halls of slumber,
Hand in hand, beneath the moon's watchful eye.

Somewhere, a sleepy owl sings,
Lullabies to wandering thoughts like ours.
And in the distance, a castle made of dreams
Stands, surrounded by fields of twinkling stars.

Turn around, just once more,
And see the moon twirling her gentle song.
Or perhaps the tales of old,
They whisper still, in the breezes of the night.
