Distant Melodies Echo

Whispers of the forgotten, starlit songs,

Between cotton clouds and cobalt mists.

A child dances—

With shadows as her backdrop, carrying secrets of the sun.

Glimmering silver dreams slip through fingers—

Verse upon verse, where gentle darkness lurks.

(Sings the child, oh how the night sings back.)

Glass-fangled parades parade the skies,

Linoleum floors of sleep and forgotten nudges,

Every twinkle bears omens,

Your laughter delivered with echoes of entropy.

Games of chance in dim-lit corners,

Haunting the glimmers of twilight bellows.

Drawing Silhouettes in Blinding Light

More secrets fold beyond the fabric of our specters.

Fireflies of sorrow entwined with joy,

They whisper color-swirled shadows, flowing ink,

To paint unearthly landscapes of laughter,

Horizon-hugging wishes wander unseen.

(What is remembered may wither...)
