Nihilism & Consequence

So here we are, you and I, suspended in a void of endless what-ifs and might-have-beens. Doesn't it feel oddly comforting? Like a warm blanket made of existential dread. Did you ever think about how the universe doesn't care if you go left instead of right at that metaphorical crossroads? Or if it does, it does so with the same detached amusement of a cat playing with a mouse.

Imagine a world—no, a dream—where choices don't have consequences. Where stepping into that coffee shop doesn't mean you'll be late for work, or where skipping that one boring meeting leads to an avalanche of missed opportunities. Sounds liberating, right?

You could argue that nihilism is like the ultimate game of chess played against yourself, where every move is just as meaningless as the last. And yet, here we are, pondering moves and countermoves in a universe that may just be a cosmic joke.

And what if this moment, this fleeting thought, is the point where everything changes? Not for you, of course. But maybe for someone who reads this after you. Or before you. Time is a slippery little fish.
